The tribal group forms an important and sizeable segment of the Indian population constituting 30 millions' and they vary in terms of race, religion, culture, language, economic condttions and dietary pattern". The dietary pattern of the selected tribal people was peculiar by the inclusion of local or natural resources or uncoventional foods. Since there was no indepth study of these people, the present research was directed towards understanding the dietary practices of the Paliyar tribal group inhabiting the hill station Kodaikanal of Tamil Nadu State.- Formulation and Standardization of Pregame Supplements

A food based approach would be a practical solution in addressing the poor performance and nutritional anemia which could provide immediate relief to our budding sports persons belonging to low income category. Formulation and standardization of pregame supplements utilizing locally available, low cost ingredients utilizing indigenous methods of preparations would pave path for the enhancement of performance capabilities of athletes. Hence an attempt was made to formulate and standardize pregame supplements.References
